The Glass Bi-Pin lamp is an economical alternative to based Bi-Pin lamps assemblies. By contructing the lamp with heavier guage stiff lead wire, we are able to eliminate the plastic base. The welding operation of the lamp leads to the base pins and the basing operation itself is eliminated removing two possible areas for failure. Glass Bi-Pin lamps can be ordered with leads formed for spacing off the mounting surface and to hold the lamp in the upright position during soldering.
