Developed primarily for back and edge lighting of liquid crystal displays, Cold Cathode lamps are used in such applications as lap top computers, vehicle navigation systems, fish finders, facsimile machines and scanning devices. Cold Cathode lamps are low amperage (3 mA to 6mA), high voltage (200 to 700 Vrms) lamps that utilize an inverter to generate the high frequency voltage from battery power supplies. The straight line lamps are generally used to edge light L.C.D. displays, while the formed lamps ("U" & "W" shapes) provide a direct backlight source.
Features:
Application: Most effectively used for LCD back light due to the characteristics of high brightness and high color rendering. For scanning faxes It is exceptional at reading due to stable luminous intensity distribution.

Cold Cathode lamps can also be
ordered with a variety of options including longer lead wires, corded lead wires, metal
and plastic end caps, and special lamp holders. Tube lengths available on special order to
user requirements from 70 mm to a maximum of 300 mm. Inverters are also available for all
